If you experience spikes in your CPU usage while utilizing your DAW, there are a few tasks to run to work to resolve this issue:
1. Make sure your audio interface drivers are current and up to date.
2. Check the buffer size settings for your audio interface, set them higher if you're mixing and no longer live-monitoring your input signals.
3. Check the Windows power management settings. Click Start, type: power -- then click Choose a power plan. Ensure that the Ultimate Performance power plan is selected, then reboot.
4. Ensure that your DAW is up-to-date.
5. Ensure that your plugins are up-to-date.
6. Run general maintenance on your PC: How to maintain your PCAudioLabs Rok Box Operating System
If, after these tasks are done, the issues persist, please contact us.
