This process is important to run from time to time as it will ensure that the Windows operational files are in good working order.

Windows Update
It is important to keep your PC's operating system up to date.
To run Windows update, click Start, then type: Windows Update
Click the found item, and then click "Check for Updates".
Allow Windows some time to check for new updates, and then, install any found updates. Reboot if necessary.
Backup your system
Consistent backups are the only way to ensure that your files and operating system are backed up in the case of data loss.
