My Rok Box Says "CPU Fan Not Recognized" at boot

Created by Brian Lorelle, Modified on Thu, 9 May at 5:09 PM by Brian Lorelle

Because PCAudioLabs utilizes resistors on the fans in your Rok Box, the onboard firmware in your motherboard BIOS may not recognize the fan's speed, leading to an error stating that the CPU fan is not recognized.

This is easily bypassed as such:

1. Enter the BIOS by pressing DEL as the PC boots.
2. In the BIOS, enter ADVANCED MODE
3. Enter the MONITOR tab
4. Locate the CPU FAN SPEED pulldown menu, and select DO NOT MONITOR.
5. Click SAVE & EXIT
6. Reboot. The BIOS should no longer show an error message about the fan speed not being recognized.
