Disabling Windows Sound Enhancements

Click Start, type: Control Panel -- click the found item, Control Panel. In the resulting window, search for: Sound

Click Change sound card settings and double-click your built-in sound card (Realtek), or your desired audio interface. 

Click the Enhancements tab and check the box next to Disable all enhancements.

Click the Advanced tab and then under default format, set to 2-channel, 16-bit, 44.1kHz. 

Click Spatial sound and ensure it is set to off. 

Click Apply and then OK. 

Reboot the PC.


Test the audio playback using a neutral audio playback application.
