How to remove and re-seat RAM in your Rok Box

If your PC is not reporting the proper capacity of installed RAM in your Windows interface, you may have a loose RAM stick in your Rok Box PC.

To troubleshoot:

- Unplug the PC after shutting down.

- Hold the power button down for ten seconds. This discharges the residual electricity stored in the Motherboard and associated components.

- Open the PC by removing the case side or top, and locate the RAM sticks. They are on either side of the CPU and CPU cooler on the motherboard.

- Remove each stick of ram by flipping down the latch that is on either side of the ram stick to unseat it. Pull directly up to remove the stick.

- Reinsert the stick into the same slot, and press down on either side of the stick until you hear/feel a click of the latch seating into place.

- Replace the PC case side and power cable, and boot the PC.

- When Windows boots, right-click the Start button and click "System". This will confirm the full RAM capacity of the PC.
